Chris serves as Vice President of Operations and is responsible for daily operations and planning for all CMM managed marinas.

A native Floridian, Chris grew up on and around boats. His knowledge of marine operations is based upon years of Gulf Coast experience. He began his marina career as Marina and Property Manager for Zeke’s Marina, a 250 dry rack, 60 wet slip, retail, restaurant and commercial complex in Orange Beach, Alabama. The eight years of hands on experience in all levels of operations served Chris well as a foundation for his growth in the marina industry.

Chris left Zeke’s to become the Director of Marina and Beach/Pool operations at the highly acclaimed and internationally renown Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Destin, Florida. He quickly put his organizational skills to work and had an immediate affect on the 100 slip yacht harbor building a reputation based upon high-end concierge level service and impeccable operations management. Very quickly, Sandestin’s Baytowne marina became known as the most sought after large yacht transient destination of Florida’s Gulf Coast.

As Vice President of Operations for CMM, Chris believes in:

  • Communication is paramount. He has established himself with internal and external electronic newsletters and e-blasts.
  • He builds well-trained, motivated and knowledgeable marina teams.
  • First impressions are everything. Chris excels at looking at our marinas from the customers perspective and works tirelessly to develop a lasting positive first impression from either land or water.
  • Connectivity. The new buzzword in our industry. No marine operation stands alone in these times. To succeed and profit a marina must connect and work well with partner facilities up and down the coast. Chris understands this and spends a great deal of time developing and nurturing trust and working relationships not just with marinas but out of industry partners.
  • Special events are today’s best spent marketing dollars. Chris works with each Marina Director to develop and manage a full schedule of fun, family-oriented and fulfilling activities centered on a boating lifestyle.
  • He understands the big picture. Boating today is a lifestyle centered on the whole family. Shopping, clean showers, casual fun dining, pools and realistic, friendly customer service expectations with no hype, are the reason CMM marinas succeed.

In his five year tenure at Sandestin, Chris was responsible for bringing many new events to the property including boat dealer conferences, multiple boating rendezvous, boat shows and the Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic which has grown into the largest Billfish Tournament on the Gulf Coast.

Since joining CMM in 2006, Chris has overseen company growth to eight active and successful, diverse marina operations from Texas to Florida along with a myriad of fun, exciting special events.

Chris and his wife Christine live in Destin with their two Golden Doodle dogs.
