Born in Opelika Alabama, (but considers himself a Florida native as his family moved to Panama City when Tom was 2 years old), Tom attended the University of Florida and remains an ardent Gator fan. He began his 30-year accounting career as a night auditor in the hotel/motel industry. In 1984 he accepted a position as staff accountant at Bay Point Yacht and Country Club where he and Scott Burt first met and began working together, a relationship which has spanned 28 years. Throughout the 1990’s and early 2000’s, Tom gained valuable experience in the Property Management field as CFO in charge of HOA and Condo Assoc. financials.

As Chief Financial Officer of CMM, Tom’s duties include:
  • Monthly Income statements and Balance sheets for all CMM managed properties.
  • Full supporting schedules, Bank reconciliations, A/R and A/P and all General Ledger Journal entries.
  • H/R oversight and payroll reporting.
  • Budgeting and cash flow analysis/projections.
  • Year end reporting.
  • Monthly sales tax reporting.
  • Monitoring and oversight of daily sales activities and revenue tracking at all CMM facilities.
  • Integration of marina operating software and setup.
  • Coordination of all financial control aspects of special events at each facility.
Tom’s hospitality, property management and marina experience allow him the ability to provide marina owners and investors with timely, accurate, and measurable results. With his intimate knowledge of marina functions, he is able to integrate each piece of data into the financial reporting system quickly and efficiently. Tom has never failed to meet a reporting deadline.

He has a 22 year old son, Austin. In his down time; Tom enjoys surfing, fishing, playing golf and watching sports.
