The OBBC tournament serves as a very important fundraiser for marine conservation projects through The Billfish Foundation and the Coastal Conservation Association (CCA). In 2011, the tournament donated over $50,000 to these 501c3 charities, bringing the overall total to $500,000. The OBBC is operated by an all-volunteer staff that's dedicated to the conservation of our marine resources.

The Texas Center Console Shootout, Presented by Pelagic is sure to become one of the most popular in the Texas summer tournament season. This tournament by promoter Rocky Jones and Coastal Marina Management was first introduced in July 2012, and from the comments of the many happy anglers, spectators and sponsors, is destined to become perhaps THE Billfish Tournament of the Gulf Coast. The enthusiastic inaugural crowd of up to 6,000 spectators and participants gathered around the twin glittering 16 foot tall stainless steel Blue Marlin images that provided an iconic backdrop to weigh in festivities and celebrations at The Wharf Entertainment complex. The unique event featured a hybrid points system incentivizing anglers to accumulate catch and release points by releasing billfish.

In August 2012, Coastal Marina Management was awarded the management assignment for Romar Harbor Marina. The project included responsibility for strategic planning, marketing and day-to-day operations of the facility until the facility sold in October of that same year.

North Light Yacht Club and Marina
2006-2009
Worked with developer on conception, design and construction of state of the art Dry Storage Yacht Club and Marina in Destin, Florida. Developed cutting edge weather Smart board and customer tracking system. Built management systems and controls. Awarded Clean Marina status in 2009.
Port St. Joe Marina
2006-2011
Developed operating guidelines and management policies and oversaw day to day operations of wet and dry marina, ships store and concessions.
Bay Point Marina
1983-2011
Managed marina during aggressive growth from 29 slips through four expansions to present capacity of 180 slips. Developed plans for construction and provided oversight of expansion process. Organized Clean Marina Certification (second facility in State of Florida). Rebuilt facility from Hurricane damage and dredged entire facility three times.
Bay Point Invitational Billfish Tournament
1984-2011
Envisioned nationally renowned tournament in 1984 and managed with Bill Spann throughout its duration until Bill's retirement in 2005. First event of its kind on the Gulf Coast in terms of large high stakes modern Billfish Tournaments. Televised live on CSS sports 5 years in a row. Holds State record for the two heaviest Blue Marlin caught in Florida.
