Marker 1 Marina Announces Significant Expansion

Dunedin, Florida: Marker 1 Marina has announced that it will significantly expand its operating capabilities, a move that will draw owners of larger vessels from throughout the west coast of Florida.

Today's vessels are larger and more powerful than ever, with multi-engine center console fishing boats leading the way. By redesigning the dry-stack facilities and incorporating the use of a new 52,000-pound Wiggins Marina Bull boat forklift, Marker 1 Marina will soon be able to pick up and store boats up to 45 feet in length inside the storage facility and protected from the elements. No other marina in the region has this capability.

The marina's new dry stack facility will hold over 350 vessels in its new specially-designed secure structure, built to the most recent Florida storm statutes.

For those who prefer to keep their boats on a custom boat lift in the marina, Marker 1 also has one 40,000-boat lift, one 27,000-pound lift and 39 lifts for boats up to 20,000 pounds. Once again, they are the only facility in the region with this capability to offer their customers.

Located just off the Dunedin Causeway, Marker 1 Marina is just one mile from Hurricane Pass and the open waters of the Gulf of Mexico, with no bridges or other navigational obstructions along the route.

Among other amenities, Marker 1 will have a ship's store featuring Pelagic brand clothing, Costa Del Mar sunglasses and E-SeaRider marine bean-bag chairs, and all the amenities expected by boaters, including a new boat-launch app for mobile phones that will allow their customers to request launch and recovery services at will via mobile device.

The expansion should be complete by December, 2018. For more information, call Marker 1 at (727) 733-9324, visit www.marker1marina.com or see our staff at the Tampa Boat Show, Sept. 7-9, 2018 in booth J146 on the main show floor.
