The OBBC tournament is one of the ten sanctioned tournaments in the Gulf Coast Triple Crown Championship, and serves as a very important fundraiser for marine conservation projects through The Billfish Foundation and the Coastal Conservation Association (CCA). In 2011, the tournament donated over $50,000 to these 501c3 charities, bringing the overall total to $500,000.
